What is AIESEC?

What does AIESEC stand for?
AIESEC originally stood for Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales. However, today it is simply known as AIESEC, representing its broader mission beyond economics and commerce.
Is AIESEC Run by Youth?
AIESEC is entirely run by youth aged 18–30. It is a platform for young people to take on leadership roles, manage operations, and create meaningful experiences for other youth globally.
Are the internship and volunteering opportunities safe?
We prioritize the safety and well-being of our participants during internships and volunteering programs. We ensure proper visa arrangements, safe living conditions, and logistical support before, during, and after your exchange experience. Participants are provided with detailed arrival information, departure instructions, and cultural preparation to ensure a smooth transition into their host country. Additionally, health insurances are mandatory for all participants, ensuring protection throughout the program duration. AIESEC collaborates with trusted partners to provide enriching experiences while maintaining safety standards.
